Ayahuasca - Yage

“A path to spiritual healing”

Ayahuasca has been used for centuries as a tool for spiritual healing. This wonderful drink facilitates the processes of introspection and connection with the "higher self", allowing personal transformation and the development of consciousness.

Ayahuasca is a traditional drink of Amazon origin, used by various indigenous cultures for centuries in spiritual and medicinal ceremonies. Its preparation is based on the combination of two plants:

Ayahuasca or Yage

(Banisteriopsis Caapi)

This plant contains Beta-carbolines such as harmina, harmalina, among others. These compounds are potent inhibitors of the enzyme Mono-Amino Oxidase (IMAO), an enzym that is found in the stomach and intestine responsible for digesting the triptamines, by inhibiting this enzym the DMT (Dimetyltryptamine) enters the bloodstream reaching the brain and the whole body to feel its healing effects.

Chacruna

(Psychotria Viridis)

This plant contains large amounts of Dimethyl-Triptamine (DMT) a powerful visionary psychedelic. It has been called the molecule of the spirit, because curiously it is produced endogenously in the pineal gland, which René Descartes at some point pointed out was the soul's home. Additionally, DMT is released by the pineal gland when we are born, when we have intense spiritual experiences, and when we die. He is a powerful visionary who allows us to penetrate the universal knowledge that we keep within us.

What are the effects?

Ayahuasca induces an elevated state of consciousness, which can be described as a visionary or psychedelic journey. Most common experiences include:

  • Ayahuasca can produce visions that are traditionally called Pinta, which can be visual (mandalas, fractals or regressions) besides being auditive and tactile, as well as an increase in emotional sensitivity.

  • Many report a deep connection with nature, the universe, and their own inner being.

  • Ayahuasca can help process traumas, fears and repressed emotions, facilitating healing and personal growth.

  • Ayahuasca can provide a new perspective on life, help break down negative patterns of behavior, and promote self-understanding.

Importance of the Ceremony

For us is essential that the experience with ayahuasca is carried out in a safe context and guided by an experienced Taita (Shaman).

Our ceremonies are carried out by Taita Mares Jesus and the “School of Joy” team from an intercultural level with respect and responsibility, creating a sacred space for healing and spiritual growth.

We are a community supported by the indigenous Kaamash Hu/Karibe Cabildo in Colombia Caribbean coast.

*Remember: Ayahuasca is a powerful tool with potential benefits and risks. It is crucial to consult with our team before assisting to a ceremony.
